YOGA PHILOSOPHY
Bhagavad Gita Study

This weekend spiritual retreat offers detailed study of the Bhagavad Gita, perhaps the most representative and certainly the most influential and popular text from the numerous and varied traditions of Hindu India. We will explore the systems of jnana yoga, karma yoga, raja yoga & bhakti yoga. No prior knowledge of Hinduism is necessary; the only requirement is to bring an open mind and sincere heart. A suggested text to bring is that by Winthrop Sargeant, published by State University of NY Press, although any version with the Sanskrit text in roman script is suitable (as we will be chanting some of the verses together).

The workshop will be interspersed with yoga Asanas and meditation instruction.

Teachers will also be able to apply philosophy credits toward Yoga Alliance certification
